We are proud to be delivering the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) programme to children in receipt of free school meals throughout the school holidays.
Research has shown that the school holidays can be a pressure point for some families. For some children, this can lead to a holiday experience gap, with children from low-income households being less likely to access organised out-of-school activities, more likely to experience ‘unhealthy holidays’ in terms of nutrition and physical health, and more likely to experience social isolation.
Evidence shows that free Holiday Clubs can have a positive impact on children and young people.
The government’s HAF programme is a response to this issue, ensuring that as many children as possible have equal access to healthy food and engaging activities during the school holidays.
In addition to a free and nutritious meal, children will be immersed in our themed Holiday Clubs, taking part in a range of engaging activities with friends, as they have fun, move more and learn more.
Easter courses will be available to book from Monday 2nd March.
